What is Atlassian Focus?
Leaning further into Enterprise Agility, Atlassian has recognized the need to fully integrate their most powerful platforms into a reimagined product. These new Enterprise Agility capabilities aim to provide visibility into how execution is progressing against a company’s highest-level goals. But Atlassian is also maintaining flexibility in their approach: flexible hierarchies, custom views, and many other capabilities that have been missing from their legacy stack.

While Jira Align has always been amazing at demonstrating the connection from strategy to execution, it demands rigidity and lacks flexible reporting without the use of Enterprise Insights. Atlassian’s Focus takes the best parts of Jira Align and introduces more and different ways to provide executive visibility. Aggregating outcomes, progress, and budgets, organizations can gain an instantaneous view across products, projects, people, or all of the above.

How Was Praecipio Involved?
From the beginning, Praecipio participated in a series of customer and partner roundtable discussions. Led by Atlassian’s product design team, these sessions included conversations about how Jira Align is used today, frustrations with the product, capability gaps, and other observations such as integrations and extensibility.
Praecipio was a full participant in these sessions acting as the voice of our clients. Taking our learnings from years of implementing Atlassian products to solve our clients’ toughest needs, we were directly responsible for feedback on both the progress tracking as well as budget tracking capabilities.
